FLAC: The "Free Lossless Audio Codec" or FLAC is an open format, very popular with audiophiles. Unlike MP3, it is a so-called "lossless" compression format that does not alter the original file and is capable of offering audio quality superior to that of CDs. while maintaining a small file size.
It is the most common high definition format and most devices support it these days. Of course the file size is logically much higher than with MP3.
MP3: almost universal format, the advantage of MP3 remains its compatibility with all smartphones, walkmans, PCs, car radios and other Blu-Ray players and it is the format that takes up the least space, but in return it there is a loss of quality because it is a format with strong and destructive compression : a large part of the musical signal will be removed.
