A rhythmic album, which gently grooves:

A bubbling of desires, in the joy of sharing,

to have fun, to gather...

This rather "funky" album was born from the somewhat crazy gamble of "making funk with tablas": because Matthew loves funk and Indian music just as much!

On “FUN KEY” he has managed to mix styles and instruments that do not usually meet:

He thus composed his first pieces with funky tablas (“Funky Chaï”, “Funky Sari”: with the sarod as a bonus!), mixed piano notes with darbouka and djembe (“Take it easy”, “Fun Circle”) … sitar and a Latin guitar (“Darjeeling”) … the “ghatam” (percussion pottery) with an organ, a nervous bass and congas (“Organic Combaz”) etc. !

Self-taught multi-instrumentalist, Matthieu Mayer wanted to "round off" the rhythm

"square" bass-drums by adding the warmth and the grains of "sweet madness" of his vocals

or his acoustic instruments … which bring a “happy recreation*” atmosphere to several tracks (like “Nanah Mint” or “Fun Circle”)!
