Matthieu Mayer signs with "ESSENTIAL" a deeply beautiful and soothing album,

IMPRESSIONS DES PREMIERS AUDITEURS :
" Salut ( … ) Je suis Sylvain ( …) Je suis plutôt « cueilli » par ce que je viens d’écouter. C’est émouvant, comme un torrent irrégulier, comme tous les torrents, qui pose des interstices de silence. Sans vouloir trop intellectualiser la musique, pour moi ceci est essentiel, l’essence même de la musique : l’art subtil de combiner un son entre deux silences. C’est assez rare me semble-t-il chez les musiciens (ce que je suis un peu (( guitariste, batteur, chansonnier)) souvent tentés par la « guitare héro attitude», et pas que les musiciens, l’ego de l’être humain quoi. En t’écoutant il s’agit de toute autre chose : juste toi et ton sitar entre deux silences et c’est bien cela dont il s’agit : le son (sincère) s’insère dans le silence et ils se magnifient l’un l’autre… pure création immatérielle dans l’éther impalpable, du son qui émeut, moi en tout cas, ceci est tellement subjectif. ( …) L’essentiel pour moi est dans l’émotion que procure un son et la sincérité de son créateur, ce qu’on ressent très vite.
